7/1/12 - Not-so-lazy Sunday

I got up at a reasonable time, and worked on my cooking show application for a little bit. Some of the questions are hard! "In a paragraph or less, tell us why you think you have what it takes to be on America's hottest new cooking show." Uh, yikes. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm definitely open to hearing them.

Then I went to yoga. I realized that my unlimited month of Groupon yoga is nearly at an end. I don't know what I'm going to do. I really like it there, but they're regular prices are really high!

I went to the Atwater Village farmer's market to get a few things, but mostly to score some more of the amazing stone fruit I got there a few weeks ago. I was really hoping she'd start letting it go for $5 a bag again, since it was the end of the market day, but I guess she was doing better sales, so no dice. Still, I got some breathtakingly luscious nectarines, and some delicious plums that I'm going to turn into jam. I also picked up some gorgeous heirloom tomatoes, pea sprouts, jalapenos, carrots, rhubarb, and epazote. Man, I love food.

I scurried back home with my goodies, and just had time to eat some avocado toast before I had to boogie over to Rickett's for band practice. We worked on our new song, and I think it's coming along quite nicely. I can't wait to play it live! I'm pretty sure we're gonna stick it on the album.

After practice, I went home and ate some more. Alex came over, and we brainstormed some more about my application. In what seemed like the blink of an eye, it was time to go to family dinner - the first one since Greyson was born. It was good to be back around the table with my pals, or at least some of them. Some of them were "working late" aka "playing X-Box Live." You'd think this would be the end cap to my day, but no.

From there, I headed to Laurel Canyon for Band Practice II: Sunken Ships, where I waited in the car for 20 minutes for the rest of the band to arrive. Sigh. We practiced. I went home, and had some Throat Coat. Sleep.
